If enough data is available for this Pokémon in the chosen format, you'll be suggested up to 2 competitive teams including it. For example, visiting Mega Gyarados's Pokédex page displays the following suggested teams:

These suggestions are based on tournament data from the past 30 days, considering teams with a positive winrate. These teams are therefore both competitively relevant and up to date meta-wise.
