VGC Meta Snapshot - 16 June, 2026

One last meta snapshot before Regulation M-B hits Pokémon Champions! Here are this weeks meta changes:

Incineroar finally enters S tier. With an increase in both popularity (30.6% usage) and a solid win rate (50.9%), this Pokémon has proven to be one of the best pivots in the metagame, mainly thanks to Intimidate and Parting Shot.

Mega Gengar enters tier A thanks to its performance as Perish Song strategies peaked in recent tournaments.

Hisuian Arcanine stabilizes with an increase in usage (2.7%) and a decrease in win rate (57.6%). Its win rate from recent weeks required more usage data to be reliable, which is why it only achieved tier B in last week's snapshot.

Sinistcha enters tier A with an increase in popularity (24.2% usage), while still sitting below 50% win rate (47.8%). Even though Sinistcha is a great utility Pokémon, it struggles to find a team in which it really shines, as the meta is mostly dominated by aggressive strategies; Sinistcha being better at supporting tankier Pokémon with Hospitality.

Sylveon suffers from an impressive drop in both win rate (48.0%) and usage (14.9%). This Pokémon, featured in last week's spotlight, leaves tier A as fast as it entered it.

Corviknight loses a bit of win rate (51.1%) and drops down to tier B, as it suffers from a lot of meta Pokémon exploiting its main weaknesses (Fire and Electric).

The best teams for the end of this season are pretty much what anyone would expect now that the meta has settled for good: 3 Mega Charizard Y variations and the most effective version of Rain teams, featuring Mega Dragonite
