Pokémon Champions — VGC Tier List & Metagame

Best Pokémon Champions teams

This ranking gathers the most-played and best-performing team compositions in VGC (Doubles) tournaments over the last 30 days. Teams with low usage have their score adjusted toward the average to prevent a small number of games from artificially boosting their results. In detailed view, the build shown for each Pokémon reflects the most common build in tournaments.

Individual Pokémon Tier List

Each Pokémon is evaluated from VGC (Doubles) tournament results over the last 30 days (top 32, minimum 100 matches). The score accounts for both win rate and popularity: low-usage Pokémon have their score pulled toward average due to limited data, while heavily-played Pokémon confirm their strength. Tiers are set relative to the meta median — S and A for those clearly above, B for those around average, C and D for those below. The tier list is updated every Monday with the previous week's tournament data.

Underrated Pokémon

These Pokémon see little tournament play (under 8% usage), but their win rate suggests a potential well above what their current score reflects. The gap between their actual performance and their estimated potential at normal usage is particularly high.

Best VGC Pokémon Champions teams — ranking methodology

This ranking is built from official LimitlessTCG tournament data (last 30 days, top 32). Team compositions are identified from each team's 6 Pokémon, with mega evolutions taken into account. A score combining win rate and usage frequency determines which teams stand out in the current VGC meta. The build shown for each Pokémon reflects the most common build across all teams of the same composition.

Pokémon Champions VGC tier list — methodology

This Pokémon Champions VGC tier list is built from official LimitlessTCG tournament results (last 30 days, top 32, minimum 100 matches). Each Pokémon's score weighs win rate and usage: low-usage Pokémon have their win rate dampened toward 50% due to limited data, and a bonus rewards Pokémon confirmed by high usage. Tiers S through D are assigned relative to the current meta median — Pokémon clearly above average earn S or A, those around average receive B, and those below get C or D.

Underrated Pokémon — methodology

These Pokémon combine low tournament usage (under 8%) with an estimated potential above their current score. Their win rate adjusted to a more representative usage level exceeds 51%, and the gap between their potential and actual performance indicates they are underrepresented in the current meta.
